The office

Our office has consisted of a desk in the dining room for six years now.  We've gone through many sizes and shapes of desks, not so good filing systems and many, many "to-do" piles.  You may wonder how we've managed running a business, a household and two young kids who love to draw and save EVERYTHING? Honestly, it hasn't gone well at all. We have missed a lot of deadlines, blamed anyone in the room for losing or forgetting something and I can probably count on one hand, the times this corner of the house has been clear and organized.

Thankfully, we have a room on the side of the house that has until now, been affectionally called "The Play Porch".   The screens were tattered, the toys were often scattered and it was home to a plethora of broken chairs. But no longer! We have finally put windows and a heater in it!  In fact, my fingers are sore from all of the painting prep. Caulking is really no fun.  I will say, however that the kids are not so happy with the transformation of this room.  The poor carpenter was not on their favorite list. When I told them that we were actually the very people who told him to come, they didn't know quite what to make of it. The big question on their mind was "But where will we put all of our toys?" Simply put, I said "Everywhere ELSE."
