MAKE YOUR OWN Pottery!

Yes, you get to make your own pottery with professional instruction! Our lessons are designed to be a fun activity for everyone, no matter your experience level. Each participant will receive hands on instruction and explore several different techniques, including the potters wheel.

$125/Person

(All lessons follow the same plan.)

What's included:

Approximately 2 hours of PROFESSIONAL instruction: EACH PARTICIPANT will learn a series of 4 different techniques commonly used by potters around the world.
We make together in each lesson choice, a PINCHED VESSEL, COIL POT, SLAB BUILT CUP and WHEEL THROWN vessel.

Glaze choices: CHOOSE BETWEEN 8 DIFFERENT COLORS FOR EACH OR YOUR CREATIONS.
ALL SUBSEQUENT FIRINGS: BAtton Clayworks will carefully handle your creations for the proper drying, glazing and two firing processes WHICH WILL ALL BE COMPLETED AFTER CLASS DATE.
YOUR Pottery will be ready within 4-8 weeks of class date.

*Shipping is an additional $25 flat US rate per box. To be settled at time of lesson.*

You are welcome to bring snacks and beverages. (Please understand that this is a residential property and therefore we are not permitted to serve any alcohol. you are allowed to bring your own, we just ask you to be responsible.)
Minors must be accompanied by at least one adult. (Adult does not have to participate, but must be present at all times. This is a very safe environment, but we want to be sure all needs of children are met without interruption of lesson.)
We do not provide kiln use for any pottery made outside of our studio.
Full bathroom facilities onsite.
for Handicap: The building is accessible with one small step onto the entry deck and the then the door threshold. the bathroom is not built for wheelchair accessibility.

Frequently asked questions:

Q- “Do we get to make something on the potters wheel?” A- YES! Each person will get a turn on the wheel with one on one instruction.

Q- “Is this a series of lessons, or just a one time thing?” A- It is designed to be a one time event for family, friends, date nights and the like as an experience.

Q- “Will there be other people with us in the lesson?” A- That depends on which class you choose. “Private Party” is specifically catered to you with 2 or more people of you choosing. “A La Cart” is a blended group of random people on very specific dates. (See above for both options.)

Q- “Can I bring my group for an office retreat or wedding party?” A- YES! We have hosted all sorts of companies and bridal groups! If your party is under 10 people, just sign up online or call for more information.
